Hangin' with the guys.

Silhouette of a man
We guess http://thebredafallacy.blogspot.com/ is written by a man (59%), however it's quite gender neutral.

Trust me - I'm female. The embarrassingly large nail polish collection can attest to that. But what do you think it was that confused the test? The bacon? The guns? The beer? I know it wasn't the kitten photos.

  3. 82% manly. Does that mean that I am safe? Perhaps it just means that I am in touch with my feminine side.

  5. This site is way too much fun. Check out what it thinks about Yahoo.com:

"We have strong indicators that http://www.yahoo.com is written by a woman (100%)."

Wonder what NRA.org looks like ...

    Turning Test - FAIL.

    Heh.

  6. Faln - That's hilarious!

Breda - Guns, beer & bacon - All excellent things for a woman to write about.

Hell, beer & bacon (and women who love them) are God's gift to man.

Guns are Sam Colt's gift to man.

  11. 61 percent guess that I'm a man, 100 percent wrong.

    Not surprising, though.

  12. The nail polish could be because you're a glam rocker. That doesn't prove a thing. LOL

  18. Mine said 79% written by a man... Guess I need to pump up a little :-)

Personally, I think they are using sterotypical writing patterns to "evaluate" the websites. Probably why Breda gets a high male score...

  21. fall out boy, and My Chem have lareg Nail polish collections as well. But they are guys... well some might question weather they are guys.

  22. hmmm. Maybe they discounted the nail polish by believing you must be a goth male. Or a geek - I've had geeks "borrow" my nail polish before in order to mark threads and cases. (It's nearly impossible for most men to figure out where to get the same shade of enamel in order to hide tampering - especially when it's opalescent _and_ sparkly.)

Right now I'm fighting the lure of the nail polish, because the longer I look at my collection, the more I get urges to paint my plane shades of gold-washed red or green with silver sparkles...

I should probably go post more about fingernail polish on my blog, as the page thinks there's 51% chance I'm female.

  23. At 54%, my manliness is apparently in question. Haw. I feel no threat-- I'm as married as a man can legally get. Nothing to prove, here. ;)

  24. Hmmmm, it got mine right - 100% written by a woman. I expected the guns, and the self-defense to skew the results....

I think they may actually be looking at sentence structure and paragraph structure in addition to content.
