We would pick boxes full of them and try to use them up any way we could. The oranges there were juice oranges about the size of what grapefruits are in Southern Ohio grocery stores. They also had ugly, splotchy looking peels, not like the "pretty" oranges you find at Krogers. They were tasty and juicy, just not as pretty and small as the store bought ones.FatWhiteManhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08946272184958991397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32278169577563552.post-84896814243719212012011-02-10T22:27:34.112-05:002011-02-10T22:27:34.112-05:00Media makes us think of FL. for citrus. They always made great lemon meringue pie. Unfortunately now we are limited to the store bought ones. Maybe I can convince some friends to send us a few in the mail. Never thought of making marmalade with them, but we did think of trying that with some of the sour oranges that are everywhere you look out there. <br />I would second the recommendation on freezing the lemon juice in ice cube trays, it works great.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14562334574927526147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32278169577563552.post-3932873716642061892011-02-10T13:53:17.575-05:002011-02-10T13:53:17.575-05:00Looks tasty.Looks tasty.BobGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15405172215849046373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32278169577563552.post-21172324459238140802011-02-10T13:38:51.989-05:002011-02-10T13:38:51.989-05:00i so want to taste that...
