Th...Diploma errors aren't limited to high schools. The diploma for my associate's degree at a Mississippi community college contained a grammar error. "Joe Blow is this day, January 1 1900, is awarded blah blah blah."

I called the head of the English department to verify that I wasn't crazy and that the sentence actually contained a duplicated verb. She acknowledged the error and then asked, "What's the big deal?" Clearly, her hypocrisy is limitless.

I called the dean's office, and she was the only one who gave a crap. Unfortunately, she referred me to the registrar's office, and the registrar just wanted to know what would make me "happy," as if my steak was overcooked or some such.

I got a corrected diploma a few months later, and I assume that they corrected the error for subsequent diplomas. I've still got the bad one, too.Brandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07010868377109696846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32278169577563552.post-72220594992548171622008-06-06T10:19:00.000-04:002008-06-06T10:19:00.000-04:00Homeschool produces better humans.Homeschool produces better humans.Weetabixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03483498608206295895noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32278169577563552.post-91721017513570694392008-06-06T09:57:00.000-04:002008-06-06T09:57:00.000-04:00I'll bet he worked hard at plagarism!I'll bet he worked hard at plagarism!Glenn Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16677859688487279914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32278169577563552.post-90679035355284668772008-06-06T09:03:00.000-04:002008-06-06T09:03:00.000-04:00Wow, Ofelia said her son worked hard to make valed...Wow, Ofelia said her son worked hard to make valedictorian.
