a man for Monday

(Click to see a larger view. You'll thank me later.)
I recently discovered Jason Statham. He does his own stunts and seems to be part of the trend that is making real men sexy again.
(look - chest hair! hallelujah!)

His character in the Transporter movies - part Jackie Chan, part James Bond, part Mario Andretti - gives us some of the most outrageous movie stunts ever. (here's the top 10. I highly recommend watching scene #9. It's a really cool fight sequence and, hello! Jason's oiled up and shirtless!) There's a 3rd movie due out next year, so get ready to suspend your disbelief...it's a fun ride!

  2. He's also in The Bank Job at your local megaplex. And in "Snatch", which is a wonderful flick (Brad Pitt, Benecio del Toro) on DVD. And check out the crewcut woman in the bookie-joint: "The sign says, 'All bets are off!'" Blam! Ah, good times.

  6. Well, I guess I'll just take my smooth, poorly defined chest and go home :(

  7. Though not as actionpacked, I agree with Turk, "Snatch is Awesome" and "Revolver will keep you guessing. "Italian Job" remake isn't bad either...Understand he used to be a footballer, or soccer player, depending on where you park you car. Or was it Rugby?

  8. Y'know, seriously, if I had a little more hair, I could pass for him...

You want hairy, find an Italian... Trust me on this one...

  9. He's also great (and hilarious) in Crank.

  10. And there was me thinking you were above posting totty pics - I'm shocked :-)

Mr Stratham was also in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Not so much bare chested hunkiness (London's too cold for that sort of thing), but a lot of dark, Brit humour.

By the way, Mr Turon, is The Bank Job any good?
