I won't admit how many times I've watched this video, but it always makes me cry and search for a warm furry body to hug, a little whiskery face to smooch. Lucky I have so many choices.
Whenever my spurious gland quivers a bit I check in with Mother Snopes. Much to my delight, this is a TRUE story. (I'm sure Breda already vetted it, but, well-- you know.)
Here are some more interesting details about the story for those that care.
We are so blessed with immeasureable riches in the form of the furry critters in our lives, large and small. I could weep daily for the joy I have in my little puppy.
Be polite, please. (also I'd like to add that I reserve the right to delete any and all comments that I find offensive, argumentative, or just plain tiresome.)

That's a powerful video.

ReplyDeleteI'm crying. I'm such a wimp. What a beautiful video.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one disappointed that the lioness did NOT bite someones face off...?
ReplyDeleteC'Mon people!
Richard Parker!?
ReplyDeleteYep. This and many other things I've seen like it are why I choose not to hunt any more.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I am concerned humans have no right to take the life of any other sentient being.
I also believe that the "Anthropomorphic Fallacy" is just a lie that scientists made up as an excuse to use animals for their experiments.
I pass judgment on no one that hunts but I choose not to any more and haven't for many years.
The only thing I kill is what is trying to kill me or mine first.
