Wow. I got the book 'Fulcrum', by Aleksander Zuyev, because I am a wing-nut(read: aviation fanatic), and the title grabbed me. It's a real eye-popping look at the Soviet system, and I recommend it highly. These people are absolutely evil, and they WILL NOT STOP. Black,y amusing is the statement,"If that scares you, I don't give a hoot. If you are not scared now, nothing can scare you"
My parents were a part of that...useful...most of my comments are already at Kevin's - he knows the story - plus being given "Soviet Life" to read as a kid, just because I LOVED to read SO MUCH...
Be polite, please. (also I'd like to add that I reserve the right to delete any and all comments that I find offensive, argumentative, or just plain tiresome.)

Does this mean that Nancy Pelosi will be the first one up against the wall when the revolution comes?

ReplyDeleteThis goes hand in hand with a book I recently reread, C.S. Lewis's 'That Hideous Strength'.
