in sickness & in health

Mike and I celebrated our 10th anniversary yesterday. Well...to be honest, "celebrated"* might be exaggerating a bit.

Mike came home early from work and gave me 10 beautiful red roses. We had a long hug, an "oh, don't, you'll catch my germs" smooch, went out for something to eat and were home by 5:30. Mike tucked me in on the sofa, brought me a cup of tea and I promptly fell asleep, hugging my box of Puffs Plus.

*The nice thing about marriage is that it isn't a one day event - you can choose to make a celebration out of your 10 year, 1 week & 3 day anniversary. Or even your every other day anniversary. There is no wrong day for a little "Hey! We're married! Yay us!"

p.s. 10 years? A DECADE? Wow, time sure flies. (and yes, I was a child bride. I was. Really.)

Though, for those of you that can actually make a marriage last that long, the last sentence is definitely true.

    Congratulations.

    You're STILL a child bride!

How do you stay so young looking?
