Well, it seems that shooting really is just like riding a bike after all.
My first target was for practice - I had some flyers and a sloppy group, but at least they all stayed in the 9-ring.
But this second target, with all my shots neatly in the red, was the one I had to get a photo of..."before it gets ruined," said my friend, Tourist*.
And sure enough, 10 rounds later a round went wide, landing at the edge of the 8 ring. There's always one, isn't there?
Keeps you humble.
*Tourist joins us in the live Gun Nuts chat every week and has been shooting with me before I could even get my shots on paper.
Nice shooting, for a pirate.
ReplyDeleteThat's very nice shooting. J-frames are hard! But I think the difficulty is all practical, i.e., small sight radius, small sights, heavy DA trigger on light gun. The guns are often surprisingly mechanically accurate. When I REALLY bear down and concentrate like a neurosurgeon, I sometimes have runs where I'm able to drop the falling plate array at 25 yards with my 642. But it's very mental. Some days I shoot patterns instead of groups with the little gun.
ReplyDeleteMore practice needed. It's my carry gun.
Yes, but can you shoot while riding a bike?
ReplyDeleteBwahahahah.
You shot that DA only?
ReplyDeleteRide Fast, I bet I could (but not well.)
ReplyDeleteTBolt - yes. DA only.
Nice...keep it up.
ReplyDeleteNice, very nice i miss being able to shoot pistols so much.
ReplyDelete~whistle~
ReplyDeleteVery good. Very good.
ReplyDeleteYep, there is ALWAYS one that gets away... sigh...
ReplyDeleteAll in the ten ring. The 9 ring is the uncolored ring outside that. Good shooting.

ReplyDeleteThat's plenty good shooting with an Airweight DAO J-frame.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tam. That's outstanding shooting with a hard-to-shoot gun.
ReplyDeleteI guess those of us who can't ride a bike are screwed....
ReplyDeleteGood shootin'!
