My birthday is coming up, y'all...

What? it's only $6600.

(& yes, I've been going through the catalogs I brought home from Charlotte.)

  1. I ponied up some bucks for Marko to buy some fine hootch for his celebration of completing another journey 'round the Sun, but I'm afraid this is a bit outside my price range, even for the World's Most Dangerous Librarian!

  2. I have to say, even if that thing went out and did the shooting proactively, six large is too much. Besides, I were trying to kick off the "Buy Breda a Garand" campaign.

You'd then be the only librarian with "Garand Thumb".....

  5. I'd kick in $20 on that. you must have more than 300 followers. Breda needs a 1911.

  6. Damn you Breda for posting this and feeding my new-found 1911 lust.

I kinda wished I hadn't fondled the SA 1911's in Charlotte.

  7. I'll throw $20 at it... :-) Although I'd get an Ed Brown or C&S before I'd get that one...

  10. Heck of a nice gun, but I'd be pretty hard pressed to buy a gun I wasn't willing to shoot.

  13. And I thought $1500.00 was high for my Colt Dragon. Yes I shoot the hell out of it.

Excelent gun store in Houston, if you are ever in the neighborhood it is worth a look.
they carry more 1911's than most gun stores carry handguns.

  16. "Y'know what's kinda cool?"

"Kinda" nothing! That is just plain awesome.

I knew a guy who would buy high dollar knives and then chuck 'em at his gravel driveway.

The first scratch is the hardest. After that it's almost fun.

  17. If I spent that much on a pistol I'd carry mine too.
