home theater

(While watching Madagascar 2 the other night.)

Right before throwing a giraffe into a volcano to appease the water gods, King Julian shouts:

"Hurry up! Before we all come to our senses!"

Mike and I looked at each other and laughed.

"That kind of sums up a whole lot of human history," Mike noted.

"Heh...yep."

  1. King Julian is my favorite character.

Julian: We thank you with enormous gratitude for chasing away the foosa.

    Gloria the Hippo: The who-sa?

Julian: The foosa. They are always annoying us by trespassing, interrupting our parties, and ripping our limbs off.

  2. I always liken Global warming crap to these primitive cultures.

Something happens (Volcano erupts, rain stops, locusts, ect ect) the people decide that it MUST be their fault, and they decide to do something completely stupid (like toss a young lady into the volcano) to stop it.

If that doesn't work they do it again, only harder.

  3. "Penguins of Madagascar" is must-see TV in our house -- whether the kids are around to watch it or not.

  4. I second "Penguins of Madagascar". Between Skippy and Julian, there are loads of great quotes.
