Well, the Bersa folks saw my previous post - and now I'm getting a goodie bag!

Thanks to ThotPD, who talked me up at the NRA Con as the most famous Bersa-carrying librarian of the gunblogs. Okay, the ONLY Bersa-carrying librarian of the gunblogs - but whatever! Free hat!

    Hi, Breda, you might find it interesting to know that in Amazon Avenger, up for sale by Memorial Day, the hero uses the Bersa Thunder (9mm) in a Roni carbine conversion. I was going to arm him with a Skorpion but made the change after seeing the Roni at SHOT. I chose the Bersa not only because of its reputation, but also because it's Argentine made; that worked as a smuggle-in weapon since the initial action starts in Brazil.

    As much as you mention Bersa, they ought to have named one of the things after you.

    Perhaps a Bersa with a threaded barrel & suppressor for hushing those loud library patrons? "The Bersa Breda, when you demand quiet power in a small package."
