I understand the right to free speech, I really do. But when a major musical figure calls our troops "just as good as dead"...?
Update: as some asshole pointed out in the comments, I misquoted the sagacious words of high school drop-out Billy Joel. He did not exactly call our troops "as good as dead." Still, those words - along with ones like "ain't never coming home" - used in reference to our brave men and women fighting overseas, are to put it mildly, demoralizing.
The actual quote is "I'm just as good as dead'. Don't take lyrics out of context to try to prove a point.

Sounds exactly like someone is calling our troops as good as dead which is the point you were making, isn't it? So Anon is just flat wrong. I am wrong alot, so I appreciated when someone corrects me, especially if they can do it politely. Which is something I'm working on.
