A few things I learned today:
1.) I can blog from my iPhone.
2.) hospitals have free wifi and shitty coffee.
3.) don't stand on chairs.
4.) when a nurse says "any minute now" it can be translated to "two or three hours."
My mom broke her shoulder. Humeral neck fracture. Sling for 8 weeks.
Or so they say. We'll be seeing a specialist.
I'm sorry to hear she's hurt. Hope she makes a swift recovery.
ReplyDeleteHope she does well. take care of her.

Oh, poor Bredamom!
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping she mends quickly.
And no magnum shotguns for at least a couple weeks...
I'm sorry hear about your mom, but the up side is that any hospital stay where you can walk in and walk out could be a lot worse.

May a speedy recovery be on it's way. And for the record, I can't WAIT for substandard wifi and government coffee vending machines that don't work. WOO!
ReplyDeleteOh dear.
ReplyDeleteOh no, thoughts and prayers sent for a speedy recovery... and yeah, hospital coffee sucks!!!
ReplyDeleteBummer! Best wishes to your mom!
ReplyDeleteI do like hospital soup though. For whatever reason, it's yummy.
I wish your mom a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteOo! Ouch (Sharp, hissing intake of breath in sympathy at the pain.) Get-better-quick prayers sent up.

I am very sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she gets well soon!
ReplyDeleteTell your mom that I can sympathize; I've broken the head of my humerus. I was told to go home and not lift anything heavier than a coffee cup for 8 weeks. I hope her recovery is a speedy one and all goes well.
ReplyDeleteAt least she didn't fall on her gun. THAT would have left a mark.
ReplyDeletewv: "polasuks" Well, yeah. I don't like it when it's that cold.
Get well soon Bredamom!
ReplyDeleteNot to add insult to injury, but the hospital is probably a CPZ, huh?
ReplyDeleteSo, no Judo practice next week then?

Oh, my!! Sorry to hear Ma Fallacy is hurt, glad it wasn't worse (like a head or neck injury). Waiting at hospitals sucks, period.
ReplyDeleteI hope the specialist has better news - but either way, here's hoping for a quick and smooth recovery to full function!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for your Mom's speedy recovery!
ReplyDelete(VW: "synaltua." O, that it were a miracle drug
