Dear Nobel Committee,

As long as you're handing out cash prizes to people just for not being George W. Bush, I'll be sure to include the address to my post office box. The check is going to be in the mail any day now, right?

    The Nobel people do not accept nominations after February 1 of each year. That must mean Barry won on campaign promises he hasn't fulfilled

    All this snark is uncalled-for. Obama has been doing his level best to dismantle the world's last remaining superpower. Surely that will lead to more peace, won't it?

    I had to tell my poor, conservative husband the news this morning when he woke up. His response? "WHAT THE HECK? *I*'VE DONE AS MUCH FOR PEACE AS HE HAS!"

    That appears to be a common reaction around the world, and even in the White House, where two aides are reported to have responded to the news by saying, "It's not April 1, is it?"

    He hasn't freaking done anything yet.

    Last time I checked, you need to do things to win things. The Stanley Cup isn't given to the hockey team with the best chance of winning, it's given to the team who actually wins the freaking game.

    As are most of us. Barry has done less for true world peace, and more for world upheaval, than almost any other American of the last half century.

    Like it or not, we WERE the world's policeman. Have been since WW II. Thugs knew that if they went too far, they risked incurring the wrath of the US.

    Now, they're encouraged by a US president who is a wuss.
