Not to mention that W. and Rove had contests to see who could read the most books in a year. Rove introduced W. to John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee novels, believe it or not, so W. (and Rove) have good taste in books.
Why do I care what a rock musician thinks about politics? If McCartney wants to give me his opinion on the quality of a guitar brand, I will listen, but his political opinions are no more important than mine.
I wonder if ol' Sir Paul is glad to have the bust of Sir Winston Churchill back in Formerly-Great Britain? (Knighthood, it would seem, has been cheapened to empty nothingness, much the same as the Nobel Prize.) Wonder if he watches his idol's boring stump speeches with the queen on her new i-pod? Perhaps President Urkel has given him one of his very own! The Beatles started out as a tolerable bubblegum-pop band with a few catchy tunes. It's been downhill ever since. Hey Paul---just STFU, already.
The second worst part of that whole video to me was watching Obambi swaying along like a teenage groupie. YOUR THE F***IN PRESIDENT!! START ACTING LIKE IT!
Course, what should I expect from a person like him - very little, and that's just what we are getting. He sways and the gulf gets drenched in crude oil.
How does McCartney know if BHO even KNOWS where the library is in the White House? The Idiot-in-Chief never stays in DC long enough to see his wife, let alone a book! But then again, how long does it take to read "The Communist Manifesto" anyway?
Be polite, please. (also I'd like to add that I reserve the right to delete any and all comments that I find offensive, argumentative, or just plain tiresome.)

ReplyDeleteI'd think that with all the money he has, he could afford some manners.
ReplyDeleteManners must be very expensive. Most people can't seem to afford them.

ReplyDeleteWhat an ass. And what asses for not calling him on it.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to go back to Britain and his drugs...
ReplyDeleteI don't even think he should sing. Anything he wrote that is worth us tapping a toe to is older than the most of us.
ReplyDeleteLook it up in Miriam Websters (At the Library)
Has-been: n -Paul McCartney
I don't see why McCartney should be honored by anyone. (certainly not by the POTUS...or is that TOTUS?)
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly has the man done in the past 40 years?
The fact that Obama chooses to honor this man but goes on vacation & skips Arlington just shows me I was right to find him contemptible.

Jackass.
