welcome to my life.

Honestly...

Every.
Single.
Morning.

And today? I had the pleasure of getting my nostril fishhooked by one single tiny claw.

Multiply by 6.

This is why we keep the door closed.

When the cats were young, they'd paw at the door. A can of compressed air fixes that desire real quick.

I can't remember the last time I had an uninterrupted night's sleep. =(

The advantage of being a dog man like myself rather than a cat person is that the worst that happens in the morning is a good, wet tongue kiss all over your mouth and nose....

And no, I don't mind it at all, especially with a small dog.

Ew - dog breath. But I guess it's still better than a cat claw up your nose. =)

When I was in my early teens, we had a Siamese cat that used to bite me on the chin when she wanted me to wake up and pet her. Closing the door did no good; she somehow learned to jump against the door while hitting the door knob with both paws to turn it and open the door. I finally had to keep a squirt gun handy to run her off some mornings.
