We've had quite a week and a half around here. The kittens got neutered, Mike pulled his back out, the kitten got sick with a 105° fever, and then the sewer line acted up (again).
The previous owners of our house were very nice people but were also oblivious to the fact that you do not plant a tree right near the goddamn sewer line. This is the third time we've had to call someone to come rescue us, "Help! There's really scary stuff coming up out of a hole in the basement floor!" The guy was merciful yesterday and didn't even charge us - he knows we'll be calling him this summer to do what will pretty much be a house colonoscopy.
Tighe must be feeling better, if wrestling like a maniac with his brother and trying to pull the blinds off the bedroom window is any indication. He is still getting his antibiotics twice a day - which he hates. It takes the two of us to get 1 ml of medicine down the throat of one 9-lb kitten. I'd like to have a serious discussion with the genius who decided to make cat antibiotics taste like bananas.

Your kitten weighs 9 lbs.? When he grows up, will he be working with Siegfried und Roy? My Rocket Baby scales in at 11 or so and not much of it is pudge. Judicious use of a (beach!) towel could help with the meds. Can't say much about the banana flavor, RB adores cantaloupe, honeydew, and water melon. Previous feline would help me eat chips & salsa.
So cute.
Glad he's feeling better. No more fuzzy balls! That's okay, though, they'll both probably be calmer now.
Yeah, why can't they make it taste like liver or tuna or something they like?
Why can't you put it IN some kind of fish he likes and give it to him?
Dogs are so much easier with liquid medicine, or even pills, just roll that upper lip over the pardon the expression "canine" teeth and that mouth stays open. Or put the pill inside a hot dog. They take it without knowing it. Dogs are so easy. If they weren't food sluts we couldn't get away with these evil tricks, though.
banana? Not say. . salmon flavoured? Or mouse flavoured?
Hope next week goes better. :)
Nine pounds? Nine POUNDS?? NINE POUNDS ???? Pardon the expression but Jee-sus H. Christ on a popsicle stick !!!! Do you keep tighe behind bars and toss him hunks of raw meat every now and again? Oy.

Seems like you'd have better luck if you made it taste like their family jewels; they don't seem to complain about that.
Tighe does indeed weigh 9 pounds (he's 6 months old). No raw meat or plans for the circus yet!
We have an 3 year old male cat who is near 20 lbs now...and looks like a little puma. Big healthy tomcats!
he has a very handsome face. Now he'll be a pretty eunuch, poor thing! Glad things are smoothing out a bit.
A compounding pharmacist can make that medication tuna- or chicken- or salmon-flavored. Call(800) 331-2498 to find one near you.
