the river runs

Two blocks from our house there is a bluff overlooking the Chagrin River. It was all of 7.7 °F as we hurried through the snow and the icy gusts of wind to capture this photo - bleak, gray, desolate and still so very beautiful.

Our snow petered to nothing. Wind is howling like mad though.... looking for things to rip off the house.

I know that spot. Right off River Street, near South St.? I always regretted buying out in the west side and not in that area, but the commute through the snow belt every morning to North Olmstead just got to be too much of a drag. . especially putting in 12 hour days sometimes.
