oh, really?

One of today's headlines : "Global Warming Rushes Timing of Spring"

One day before the spring equinox! How exciting! I'm going to look out my window! Do I see baby animals frisking, tender green shoots struggling through the warm soft earth, the cheery purple of crocuses, and soft rays of sun filtering through the trees?

No.

We're having a blizzard.

Yep. And me stuck at work until 9 with windshield wipers that decided this was the day to go kerfluey (they're working, sorta, but I don't know for how long...the motor on the passenger side seems to have come loose from its moorings).

Bah humbug!

I wasn't expecting this. I didn't even wear socks today I was so hopeful about spring.

Oh well. =/

Sorry to hear about the nasty weather Breda. Seems like this has been a pretty harsh winter up north. Will you think bad of me if I tell you it was 82 here (tampa bay area) today? Anyway I wanted to thank you for being one of the people I always read and for inspiring me to start a little blogging myself.

it would probably be better if we didn't discuss your weather. At least until July, maybe.

And good for you! Welcome to blogland!

Just know that in July and August, it will be hotter there than it will be here LOL

Neophyte: where abouts in TB are ya? There are a few more of us blogger-types in the greater-gun-blog-community living in TB.

Oh, and regarding the weather... Breda, I used to live up north too... but now that I'm in Tampa, I'm pretty sure I'll give up on winter entirely. We still have different seasons here: warm and rainy, lots-of-mosquitos and damn-hot, warm and rainy with some occasional hurricanes, and the "two weeks of almost chilly" season some folks refer to as winter. Seriously though, the only thing wrong with Florida that I have seen is the complete lack of mountains.

Well, the government could be put in charge of the weather and Spring would be -- delayed in committee until August recess. I have daffodils blooming in my front yard, but then I have rain with chills broken by brief periods of SUNshine, but only when one works not when one rides motorcycle... where is Justice?
