strategery
Ohio primary voting is tomorrow and I'm still undecided. I've looked online and the local Republican ballot still offers Fred Thompson as a choice. So I could vote for the person I really want, even though it would be a purely symbolic gesture, meaning nothing. Or...I could vote for Hillary.
You're probably thinking,"What?! You, voting for Hillary? "
I have to admit that the idea of pushing the button next to her name makes me shudder a bit in horror.
But if Hillary wins Ohio, imagine the in-fighting and squabbling! Democrats at each other's throats! More mudslinging! All very unattractive to the voting public - and, for quite a lot of us, so much fun to watch.
Decisions, decisions...

At this point I actually see Clinton as the lesser of two evils compared to Obama. I feel like Obama's message of "hope & change" could carry his socialist agenda further than Hillary could push hers.
Go for it! The longer Hillary is around the more damage she'll do to the overall strenth of the Democrat party!
This is good, ne?
The least you can do is vote against Dennis and for Obamamama's husband. That'll spread love and harmony in the Democrat Party. I figure 4 years of Barack and the Dems join the Whigs.
Since Obama is just a rerun of Deval Patrick hear in MA on Steroids all I can say is VOTE HILLARY!!!
We need her to stay in there and either get the nomination or do as much damage as she can to Obama. Take a look around MA and you will get a small taste of how much damage Obama would do as POTUS. GOD help us all if he wins, we will have race issues if you talk against him, and no money when he is done taxing us, and no guns or rights to speak of anyway. . ..
Go Hillary, best thing for McCain to run against . . .
That and I think the Dems did the same thing voting for McCain so that we would not get a conservative on the Republican side to vote for. . ..
Vote for the person you want. I took my opportunity to vote Fred (who was outpolled by Giuliani 10:1 even after both had dropped - feh). It's your chance ot send the message to the RNC; take it
I voted for Fred on Super-Duper-Mega-Ultra Tuesday. He had already dropped out.
I voted for Fred. He had dropped out by then, but I wanted to sorta register my opinion of "I want this guy or one very similar next time!" to GOP Party poll watchers.
The Hillary thing will take care of itself, methinks, though your strategy intrigues. I am not allowed to vote cross party in MD primaries, so you have a decent conundrum.
I confess I've been on the horns of that very dilemma. The infighting democrats have been rather delicious to watch lately. I hope they keep up the good work. OTOH, every liberal I know here in Texas is tres gung-ho about Hils. We shall see, I suppose.
Ah, Unshelved. What a great comic. Dewey is my doppleganger and Mel is my role model.
Went with FRED
Brenda,
Crossed over and voted for Hillary this morning. I am hoping to see as much blood in the democratic ring as were in the days of gladatorial combat.
Dr. Joe
There was a notice taped to the booth this morning that votes for Kucinich and Giuliani for president would not be counted because they had withdrawn.
The notice didn't say anything about Fred, but since he formally withdrew as well, I was concerned that his votes would meet the same fate. So I voted for Ron Paul, despite my foreign policy misgivings.
I thought about crossing over to vote for Hillary and Joe Cimperman (the only Dem in the 10th with a ghost of a chance against Kucinich). I figure Jim Trakas, who ought to win the Republican nomination in the 10th, could beat Cimperman in the general, but not Kucinich. The RNCC won't put resources into this district against a Democrat incumbent.
I dunno. Kucinich's wife is at least easy on the eyes.
OMG! I haven't been following Unshelved recently, and that's priceless!
Congrats, Oldsmoblogger! I've been in that same position re foreign policy, and I've been so annoyed with conservatives that one issue seems to overrule all others. I really think that most American Republicans would vote for Joe Stalin if he promised to wipe out Islamic terrorism.
