the birth of a gunblogger

Shortly after I learned how to shoot, I had an epiphany. It ended up changing my whole life.

Today Buckeye Firearms has republished the post I wrote as a result.

update: Oopsie. The site is down. Did I break the internets?

Yup. Link worked earlier, now it don't work. Buckeye must of moved because they couldn't handle the flood of traffic from here.

Your quote concerning Col. Colt puts me in mind that many gun control laws were initiated specifically to prevent freed blacks from possessing firearms.

Today's anti-gunners are either unaware of this connection to racism, or they suppress it, or they think, as they do if you point out other similarities to their programs and those of the Nazis or Communists, that a good idea is still good regardless of whomever develops it.

Powerful post. More women need to read it and internalize what you are saying.

As a certified instructor, one of the hardest things to get across to my women students, is, Yes you are worth it.
You would think that they already understood that or they wouldn't have signed up for the class.
Moms are the easiest. I turn it into "protect yourself to protect your child."
THAT they get...
I think...I hope.
