good for you, MSNBC!

I don't have cable, hardly ever watch TV, and only get my news from the internet so I didn't know who Chris Matthews was until this election. But this is the "thrill going up my leg" guy, right?

The cleaning crew at the library is made up of mentally handicapped men and women hired from a local rehabilitation center. They are given jobs according to their abilities - the older lady with Down's Syndrome vacuums and the guy who constantly mutters to himself is sent back in the stacks with a bottle of Murphy's Oil Soap. Despite having some small problems - one woman was caught stealing snacks from the break room and a man (who has since been removed) had some sort of blue jeans fetish and would follow female patrons around the library, staring at their denim clad rear ends - for the most part, our cleaning crew is a joy to have around. They are fun to chat with, make coffee for the cranky librarians (me) and have never complained about the sisyphean task of dusting a library.

These types of arrangements are usually good for everyone involved, both economically and socially. So I applaud MSNBC for giving Chris Matthews some meaningful work, it's really commendable. Despite it being "unskilled labor", Mr. Giggles Matthews has a job that keeps him happily occupied and off the streets - which undoubtedly benefits us all.

I didn't quite catch where you were going with that until the last paragraph, at which point I had just taken a sip of water. You almost ruined my keyboard.

Get off the television news, they don't advertise good rifles there, now what do you want to shoot a little farther away? Targets? Rabbits? Chipmunks? Grizzly Bear?

Twenty-two to start, bolt action unless you are a speed freak, then a good semi-auto would be nice - iron sights then go to scope as your eyes wear out. And always, have good safe fun with it.

Wow, that's rough. Oh well, anything to get the idiots away from a job requiring a productive person.

Also, you DO need to get a rifle...then another, and another.

I recall the good old days when they seemed to be in the tank for the Clintons.

BTW... I think you're making too much of that whole "blue jeans fetish" thing.
