Staycation!

Having a whole week off to do whatever we want sounded like a great idea. We could sleep in everyday, we could go places, eat whatever we want, do new things! But having limitless choices only leads to indecision. (don't believe me? Go stand in the salad dressing or breakfast cereal aisle at the grocery store and try to choose just one.)

So in order to avoid tiresome exchanges like: "Hey, what do you want to do?" and "Um, I don't know...what do you want to do?", I came up with an idea.

I suggested Mike and I each plan a surprise outing or activity for each other. It doesn't have to be expensive or elaborate, or even something we've never done before - it just has to be a surprise.

I have until Friday to come up with a plan!

p.s. I'll keep the camera handy to share our adventures, though blogging might be sporadic. But I'll still be co-hosting Gun Nuts tomorrow night at 9PM EST!

I'm probably just boring, but that is no problem for me. Kraft House Italian, and Cinnamon Life. Maybe I need to get out more.

Beer for breakfast while on staycation is absolutely not overdoing it!

Hell, Guinness is heart-healthy. It should be mandatory for breakfast to offset the not so healthy bacon.

I often make beer pancakes for breakfast. :) Egg, beer, dash of salt, whole wheat flour with a tiny bit of baking powder... fry 'em up in a pan. Yummmm.

Hmm...you could just do nothing. When I took a vacation back in February and flew out to California - yes California, seeing as my brother was stationed out that way, being that he's a Marine and everything - we didn't do anything all week. We watched t.v., played XBox, ate, drank, worked on his truck, shot some pool, watched some movies, and had absolutely nothing planned. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever had. No pressure to do anything whatsoever. Planning on doing that again next year when he gets back from Iraq. Hopefully, he'll be in Virginia and I can drive down.

Probably too late for this year, but you could always host a symposium on the Library of Congress Catalog System's Ability to Handle Information on Beer and Ammunition.

It should involve avocado puree and gravity swings.

Somewhere I have a cartoon: two knights in full armor, pennons on lances and all, one saying to the other "I don't know, what dost thou want to do?
