all my friends live in a little box on my desk.

This webcam thing is great - best $30 I've ever spent (okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration). But by using Gmail and Yahoo messenger, I can chat live with people over the internet for free (with audio and video) so it's already cooler than a phone, by far. Plus, my cats are thrilled to finally be getting the recognition and admiration they so deserve.

Mike is still a little freaked out about talking to the computer. He keeps poking at the keyboard, saying,"Where's the rotary dial?" so it might take some time. Still, I'm doing my best to bring him into the 21st century.

Interesting... I don't see you in my gMail contact list. It's almost like you didn't think to put me in yours...

Obligatory geek reference: I keep picking up my mouse and saying, "Computer. On."...

I have a rotary phone. Are you suggesting they've come out with something better?

It's always a good idea to have a rotary phone on hand when you need to call any type of customer service. When you get the option menu of, for this press 1, for that press 2, etc...start dialing. Many times it makes their computer throw a fit and it will kick you directly to a living breathing PERSON.

Fight the power!

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to throw a load of laundry into the river.

Kaveman,

Hey, the old method of throwing clothes into the river is so 200 years ago. Don't you know the modern method is to beat them against river stones???

Man, you guys have got to get with the times.

Get water FROM the river, put it in the washtub, & use the washboard. That way your feet stay dry.

Boy, some folks just can't get with it...

Well, just dont forget to turn the damn camera off at the inappropriate times... unless you get a credit card number first. {;>0

Don't worry Mike, there is a rotary phone accessory available from Office Depot.
