The results are in.

268 of you took the time to vote yesterday, and 27 of you even left comments, proving once and for all that my blogreaders are the absolute best. Grown men gave their opinion on nailpolish, of all things. I love it. You appreciate whimsy enough to actually care about what color a goofy gunny librarian paints her fingernails, and I'm just delighted. Thank you. Oh, and Mike thanks you too. I'm sure he gets tired of color-choosing duty. (And even though I have a lot of colors to choose from, he always picks purple. Always. )

Despite some fabulous suggestions in the comments section - pinstriping, gunny nail art, and polish that changes in the sun (which wouldn't work in the Cleveland area until May anyway, but I'll still check it out) - I have decided to do this democratically and go with vampy red, which won with 41.42% of the votes. Exit polls indicate that the majority demographic of my audience is mostly male, conservative, over 30, likes a good steak dinner and believes you can never go wrong with a classic.

Pictures to follow.

I voted for blue since it matched your mood... Does that make me a sissy? Did I read too much into it?

Anyway, I'll vote for steak.

+1 for steak colored nails!

Purple is the color of Royalty

I think there should be an investigation into the possibility of voter fraud. Some ACORN dudes were instructing people to clear their caches and pick vampy red repeatedly, in exchange for chocolate-chip cookies.

Does being 30 make me over 30?
And the steak has to be bacon wrapped.

Steak- definitely. BBQ'd for all my compadres last night- just to get something that wasn't from the DFAC.
