Bedblogging

I got out of the shower this morning and went back to bed. I'm currently snuggled under the blankets with wet hair and an ever changing number of cats. I'm sipping a cup of coffee, the space heater is whirring in the background and I had Christmas cookies for breakfast. It's almost noon, I'm still in my pajamas and my husband is next to me, reading a book.

And I'm blogging.

In bed.

Santa* read my letter
and granted my wish. I escaped the cold, lonely basement only to rediscover that there is sunlight and warmth and soft places to sit on the upper floors of my house - I had almost forgotten.

I am so lucky.

Also - it seems Alan of SnarkyBytes was unable to resist the Eee PC and I know for a fact PDB got one for Christmas too - but he apparently doesn't use it to blog. Look to these guys for more geeky reviews because "Ohmigawd, it's so teeny and cute!" and "Ooooh, wifi is fun!" is about the limit of my technical expertise.

Yes the peer pressure was too great and I am too weak to resist.

And reviews will be posted. In depth.

Our God-daughter (5) is visiting today. She and my wife are upstairs making icecream.

You can be very dangerous with WiFi and your charm, go get them, girl! Have a Happy New Year! This wasn't a bad one, met you and that was worth the entry fee - and she can do it with either hand and all kinds of calibers.

I'm watching a Twilight Zone episode where books are outlawed and librarians are put to death. What the hey? I guess librarians weren't armed in 1961.

We spent the day as well reading. Must have been in the water.
I hadn't thought of getting on Wifi while in bed.

I have an Acer Aspire One netbook and it's very handy. Small enough that I can take in the pick up with me and use it as a GPS and a computer.

My daughter (almost 13 years old) is wanting to save for a laptop - do you think this would be a good (and more easily obtainable) option for her? For typing stories, homework, internet ... your opinion would be appreciated!

txmom - YES! this would be a perfect laptop for her...and at around $300, its a great value.
