in his own words...

A heartbreakingly honest tale of a young man's frightening journey into a labyrinthine legal system, Bryan has written an account of his arrest and acquittal for a CCW violation.

Every gun owner should read this and take heed.

Wow. Just wow.

I can't see how this could have gone any worse even in MA...

(Okay, I guess I can)

Wow, so it's nighttime, the cops pull up and perform a felony stop w/ weapon drawn and he gets arrested for failure to inform? You have GOT to be kidding me.

Like Brian said, the 1st thought in that situation is "don't do or say anything that might get me shot."

Stories like this are why I dread getting pulled over while carrying (knock on wood)

Sheesh. Stories like that make me glad I left the Rust Belt for the nominally free Rocky Mountain states.

Sorry to hear about that incident. I would recommend that he file a complaint and criminal theft charges for his flashlight and any other items that were not returned to him. He should also name the arresting officer, file a written complaint with the city, and file a written complaint with OPOTA to try and get the officer's peace officer certification revoked.

Thanks for posting this link Breda. I really appreciate it. I also appreciate all the advice and support from the community.

@ParatrooperJJ: I really do want my flashlight back!
