Maybe it's me, but when I think "firearms from the Age of Steam", I think Colt Single Action Army and Sharps repeater.
I know - I'm pretty boring.

It's cute but I always think back to Hiram Maxim and real Victorian guns like the Gurkha Bira machine-gun in Martini-Henry .455/577 caliber.
If real, nasty Victorian-chewing tribal hillsmen can make something like *that* up in godforsaken Nepal - a far-flung real outpost of a real Empire, why can't the effete offspring of late 20th Century weenies go to the trouble of at least making it shoot .22LR's?
I'm sorry I find Steampunk and pseudo Victoriana frustrating.
Never-mind me, I just don't do dress-up and fantasy well. Of course you can't have Steamers running around with real ray-guns.
Those are cute, but I have to side with some other folks here and say I prefer the actual weapons of the 19th-century. Function trumps form every time.
