deep freeze

Lake Erie is completely frozen over for the first time in 14 years...and we're happy about it. Less lake effect snow and finally, definitive proof of global warming! (heh.)

There must be cars from every vintage year around the good fishing spots out on the lake. In fact, I bet the sunken cars MAKE the good fishing spots.

There's a higher power out there that is DETERMINED to make Gore and his Clima-Nazis look like total idiots this winter, isn't there?

I love it.

Heh. Says the last time it froze was the winter of 1995-96. I was working in the rail yard then, and we had 37" or so of snow in a couple of days here in eastern NY. I remember slogging around in snow drifted higher than my waist in spots, feeling my way so I didn't trip over the rails. The worst of the snow missed us this year - but I don't miss it. :)

So now you can drive to Canukistan, and drive back with a trunk full of Canadian Club ... in plastic sport bottles!

What is really sad, is that Gore & Co. will completely deny reality till their dying days.

The global warming came south for the summer.

I drove down from Johannesburg to Cape Town on Saturday/Sunday (about 1400 km) (fetching guns, which can't be flown and are tricky to courier, in this country). Stopped for fuel at 20 past 11 in the evening and it was 32.5 degrees C out.
