Gun Nuts - A Good Run

Gun Nuts is a very different show now than when I first made my debut on air and, feeling that it has gone (and is going) places that I can no longer follow, I have decided to end my time as weekly co-host. I hope to occasionally guest host but feel the majority of my efforts would be better spent on other projects. I wish Caleb the best of luck with his plans for the show.

I will always be grateful for what Gun Nuts has given me - I've met and talked to some extraordinary people, was part of a growing alternative media focused on fighting for our Second Amendment rights and was blessed with listeners that tuned in every week, joined the chat and called in to share their personal stories. It has been an honor.

Wow.

Good luck to the both of you, it'll definitely be very different without you.

It's just not gonna be the same without you, and that's a shame. I thought you and Caleb complimented each other well.

Does this mean we'll see more of you on Vicious Circle? :)

The show and its entertainment value will effectively eliminated by your departure - with you, it had charm, humor, empathy, and humanity.

I celebrate your newly re-discovered authorial freedom, and hope your muse inspires you *soon* to launch a show worthy of your talents. You certainly demonstrated those talents and the affection you inspire in your listeners, without even trying or pretending to be anyone but yourself, while mounting the bottom rung of the ladder and graciously rising above the circumstances.

Like many others, I look forward to the "Bredalucion Hour - Doing it Right" :)

I'll miss you on the show of course, but your blog has been a daily-read since I stumbled onto it, and I look forward to what you do with it in the future.

Just kidding. We'll miss you greatly, honey, but were glad to see you! Will you be joining us in the chat occasionally?

"All good things must come to an end".

Sorry to hear you're leaving Gun Nuts, Breda; it certainly won't be the same without you.

But if it's not fun, any more; if you don't enjoy it; if you don't want to do it, then you've made the right decision.

And you know that we'll be here for you, waiting patiently, for when you decide to again grace the airwaves with your dulcet tones.

(And remember, there's always the option of the "Breda and Jay Show"...) :)

Very sorry to hear this, but I both respect and (maybe a little) understand why you're leaving. Thanks for a great year of shows, and here's to future efforts.

Sigh.

They tried to keep The X-Files going after Mulder left, too, and look where that wound up.

I personally thought it was a good idea to have a "Blogger That Shoots" to balance the "Shooter That Blogs", but that's just me. ;)

What Tam said! Plus, I thought you and Caleb worked together well. But an hour is a long, looong time to fill and even more so when paths have diverged.

We'll still have your blog!

Sorry to see you go, Breda. It won't be the same show without you. :(

Like everyone else here, I'm sorry to see you go. Whatever your next venture is, I hope you enjoy it.

Things are not going to be the same around Gun Nuts Radio, that is for sure. I personally am going to miss Breda's presence, as she was an effective compliment as Tam said in being a blogger that shoots to my shooter that blogs.

She'll be missed, especially as Gun Nuts travels in new and interesting directions.

Keep fighting the good fight.

I'm with Lissa. It's awfully fun in the chat, and you can let your hair down (so to speak), not being Co-Host. Just a thought.

*Weeping bitter tears.*
*Gnashing of teeth.*
*Tearing of clothing.*

What the others said. You will be missed, but you do what's best for you. Now, you can harass Caleb with the rest of us! Wheeeee!

Sorry to hear that your gone but I understand. I hope all is well between you and Caleb. Your post seemed like maybe there was a major change. Anyway I hope both of you the best of luck, I will still read your blog and listen to GNR. Let us know if you do anything else we should be aware of.

I'll pose for *your* calendar any day.

Just sayin'.

Sorry to hear you are leaving, hope you find what you are looking for somewhere else, and do more VC's.

Please let us(your loyal readers) when/if/where you pop up next.

It was a good run, and hope you had as much fun doing it, as i did listing to it.

Best of luck.

Like my wife, you are pure class. Do it your way, do it for yourself.

Gonna miss ya.

You were the only reason we listened to that show, so you will be missed. Maybe you should do your own show, Lord knows that podcasts of the female progun point of view are too scarce. How about you and Tam doing a show together?

Heath J said...

Well that's that then...

It won't be anywhere near as good without you.

No slight to Caleb, but without you for balance, it won't be as good.

Thanks for the time you spent with us! I would love for you to start an all female gun centered podcast, someday, if at all possible. I have two teenage daughters, and have taught them to shoot, but it would be great for them to have a weekly role model to listen to. You have a great personality, and voice. You could make a huge difference for women out there! I will continue to listen to Caleb, as he does a great job, but it will not be as good with out you.

Thanks Breda!

Wait, wait -- who will interview after my next trip to DC?

I can't be famous with a Breda-hosted interview!
