what I carry

I'd join in on the current "whatcha got in your pockets" meme, but since I'm a chick, I usually put everything except my knives and my pistol (when I can carry) in my purse. And trust me, no one wants to see my assorted collection of crumpled grocery receipts, tampons, Dr. Pepper flavored lipbalm and stale Altoids.

But, hey, check out my Monkey Knut!

Those poor monkeys.

I'm thinking of how a guy might carry that rig and I keep flashing back on Mae West:

"Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"

I bought seven MonkeyKnuts: two for me, four for the chicks in my life and one in camo for my dad. I absolutely love mine!! Woe be unto Sum Dood that gives me reason to try it out!

Two PO box keys? One must be library related.

Has anyone ever really tried theirs out, practiced on a heavy bag for instance? It seems like something that would gain from familiarity of use.

On a related note, any idea where one might find large bearings to make my own? The idea's simple, and shipping is likely to hurt.

Tim... Mouse ball.

So for those of you who own them, are they actually of sufficient size to do much more than hold your keys in your pocket? I guess I was spoiled by spending four years with Boatswain's Mates and their monkey fists... Really should have gotten them to make me one...

New Jovian Thunderbolt.... the ones sold are steel, I don't think that rubber one in the my mouse will quite be the same. Fine for keychain use though.

The key end is more dangerous than the monkey knut end.

Monkey's fists are illegal in NY. Monkeynuts are likely the same.

Also, slingshots are illegal, as some staffer corrected the "typo" in the original bill which said slungshots. Thus slungshots are legal, but slingshots aren't.

Rather than change the law, it's easier to get a pistol license (which is also a carry license, despite fearmongering and handwaving to the contrary) and carry a proper firearm.

Last computer mouse I vasectomized had a rubber-coated steel core ball. OTOH, good luck finding a mouse ball these days.

Not too cheap, it's just that I HAD TO KNOW HOW!!!

And getting it right damn near drove me over the edge.
