A fallacy of forced choices. Start with a framework that allows for not options and you can pre-dispose the result.
Is it possible to be intelligent and neither obsessive or socially inept? Obviously it is.
Is being professionally driven, i.e. ambitious, being obsessive? Does that rule out social grace?
I like to consider myself reasonably intelligent (they gave me some parchments at a couple of schools and let me teach at others), I don't think fighter pilots are socially graceless (although we can be) yet there is no dweeb, nerd or geek in a fighter squadron usually. Where would a fighter pilot, college teacher, author on a major city library board of trustees fall?
For myself, although I have been described as a walking filing cabinet...I am most likely somewhere near the intersection of intelligence, social ineptitude and dweeb...
As I type this with one finger, wear out the backspace key and have to spellcheck any word larger than trailer truck[?] I guess I don't get to play. Shucks.
I was going to say Dweeb, but I'm afraid that I'll have to say at least on the border between Dweeb and Nerd. That border war can be interesting at times...
Depends on whether my wife is wearing her hair up on not. If up then the geek bypasseds nerd and goes full into Dorkdom. Esp if there's any leg showing. An ankle is all it takes. :-)
Hey, what can I say? 18 years happily married. 18 out of 26 ain't bad.
1. My SAT scores from before they dumbed it down will just barely get me into Mensa.
2. When I take the online AQ quizzes I never get less than an A-, verified by employment and dating history.
3. I really don't understand why people don't appreciate real model airplanes, the old-fashioned kind with no radios in them. Did you know that you can toss something from your hand into the sky, and it will just keep going up, and disappear, and it's easy to detect thermals in the early stages of their formation, and...

You're a Librarian.
It's a whole new level.
I like to think I'm more geek, but realistically there's probably a touch of nerd.
Right on the edge of geek and nerd. Depends on the day you catch me.
smack dab in the center.
Center of visible mass.

If I had to judge myself I'd be in the North West, or maybe just western corner of "Geek".
Geek. Well, that's what my coworkers say anyway. ;-)
Where do you fit in?
Dweeb.
Geek, edging towards the nerd category

Forced choices don't fit.
Silly! You're obviously a geek, kinda like my roomie, but on a different (although tangentially intersecting) axis of geekness.
And the fact that I feel compelled to grade this like it's a term paper makes me a total dork... :D
Nerd. Definitely nerd.

Some of my friends watch "Big Bang Theory," and they keep calling me Sheldon. I think that is a special category...
Ummm.....I'm not sayin'.
Just wondering, how did your court appearance go?

That Venn is missing a few tangents... sigh... Geek because I knew that... dammit...

Shucks.
What am I?
None of the above.
I cannot be boxed in.

so far into Social Ineptitude that nothing else matters.
Tempted to go with "Geek", because according to Mom, I apparently don't have problems talking to people...
But on the other hand, I hardly have any friends, and am not good with mainstream culture knowledge.
Maybe I'm a "Gerd"? Or a "Neek"?
I'm right in the X-ring, baby.
