The recent Gaza flotilla incident is now being referred to as "Israel's Kent State."
Except Kent State wasn't "Kent State" - not in the way Democrats would find useful anymore. Better to further the narrative with a tie-dyed lie than to tell the truth.
p.s. anyone who was a long haired, rabble rousing, pharmaceutical ingesting youth during the summer of love is 60 or older now...I'm still waiting for them all to age out of the system.)

Actually, I wasn't a rabble rouser, and I'm only 58...
NJT, the importance of the Beatles isn't just their music (though I am a fan), it's the influence on almost all pop music since. (I'm 27, FWIW)
I wouldn't be quite so excited about aging out the hippies, because think about who's aging *in*.

No way anyone with sense is buying into that crap. If I'd been in charge, the whole thing would've been over as SOON as the first metal pipe was swung. I'd have pulled the troops back and torpedoed the whole raggedy-ass flotilla, and machine-gunned any survivors left in the water.

B Smith is correct, they COULD have dealt with this situation MUCH MORE HARSHLY... Bottom line, those "activists" were terrorists and that is now coming out (in the overseas news).
One of my cousins (Marylyn) was at Kent. That started on a Friday and ended on a Monday. When the Bill Ayres types started to raise hell because Nixon was actually trying to do something about the Commies across the border ( Dave Drake was with the 11th ACR when it went down, read his stuff about the op), the local cops tried to put it down,but they failed. The State Patrol came in, but they failed. The Guard came in, it ended. When my cousin talked about it afterward, she said most of the trouble was caused by the SDS-types and drunks/druggies. But when the ROTC building was torched, she said most of the smart kids on campus either got away from the campus or hunkered down in the dorms, and the smart kids were telling everyone not to mess with the cops/State troopers/ Guard. Some folks didn't listen.
If this is Israel's "Kent State", then Darwin Awards to all those who didn't listen and took on the IDF. By the way, isn't interesting that the people who set up the flotilla just so happened to be "not there" when it went down? Amazing how all the great leaders of all these poor "People's Liberation Armies" are safely hiding away hundreds of miles away from the action, yet no more than 2 feet from a camera and a mike when it goes down? Don't those idiots realize when the Israelis say "Never Again" THEY MEAN IT? Oh, well, as Larry and Jerry wrote: "Just think of it as Evolution in Action".
And Dear Reader tells us that we're in danger of suffering from "information overload."
