two thumbs down

Everything he knows about guns is what he sees in the movies.

Good. Take that nut to task!

I could be reading that wrong but it IS the fault of Chicago's unconstitutional gun laws that criminals run rampant. If the good guys were armed this would stop.

Exactly what I thought, Vinnie.

I used to care about Roger Ebert's opinion. Then he thwarted his ultimate reward one too many times and went all wackidoodle. Now I just like to make fun of him.

Read further in his tweets:

"To obtain a permit, gun owners should be required to attend the funeral of an innocent gunshot victim."

"Supreme Court sides with squirrel hunters and drug gangs against cops and innocent bystanders."

He's an idiot. He's getting senile, too. Repeating his insults. Only the names and the actions have been changed, to make it easier for Roger:

"It only takes Fox seconds to smear a liberal, so why is it taking months to plug the oil leak?"

"It only takes Glenn Beck seconds to belch, so why is it talking months to plug the oil leak?"

PPPP: I agree with your assessment of senility. All he can do is tweet out little snarky bytes of gibberish like the blatherskite he is.

Hey now. I know snarkybytes. Roger Ebert ain't fit to carry his kilt...

But Roger is right. If potentially all the gunshot victims had been legally armed, there would have been a whole lotta more thinking and less shooting on the part of the criminals. The "damn unconstitutional gun laws" of Daley's fiefdom are to blame.

I blame the people who through free will or culpable negligence fired the guns. A gun doesn't make a person a killer any more than Twitter makes Ebert an ignorant blowhard, both are just tools.

Remember what Heinlein said about critics at the end of "The Number of the Beast"?

Roger has thought himself a wit for too long. That he is half right is our fault.

I took his meaning to apply to Chicagos unconstitutional laws.
