I've got one of these at home but no one in the house will own up to bringing it home, which is a problem since I want more of them, what chain did you find these at?
Mmmm, kraut. Even as a kid I loved it. My sons don't; I keep threatening to drum 'em out of the Loyal Order of Bohunks. :-)
Likely to be better than the onions (make that "onions") CINCHOME got at an Akron Aeros game last summer. Weird. The condiment table had fresh-sliced jalapeno (which makes for a heck of a hot dog, it turns out), and packaged slime claiming to be onions.
WV: impling, probably responsible for deciding the Aeros would peddle packaged onions with their hot dogs.
Sam's Club has these (or did have them) with the other condiments at their snack bar. I might have grabbed a couple of extras and stuffed them in my pockets in case I got lost heading to the truck.
+1 to Tam! Grab one of those single serving salad dressing pakets and you're halfway there to reuben on the go! Frying the bread may still be problematic.....
Yep, Tam. The Reuben connection is definitely the target audience. Still need to grapple with finding a decent rye bread west of the Mississippi and south of the Red.
Forget reubens, now after a quick trip to my local Giant Eagle I can backpack with brats with all the fixings (the other proper brat condiment being mustard). My wife sometimes thinks the reason I married into a German immigrant family, and enjoy visiting her cousins back in zie Deutchland is just for all the great sausage we get to eat. :) Thanks for the info.

I had waaay too much of that stuff when I was growing up!
Pack mints / gum too. Kraut breath is nasty

I'm telling my wife about this and laughing at such a thing. She got up and walked to the fridge and pulled one out. I'd never heard of them.
Oh, that's about perfect for making reubens!

First time I saw one I said "Look. Condoms for Germans."

Lovely nails...
Scale 1 to 10: How do they taste?
SWEET!
We, the members of the Patriotic German Progressive Social Bund, strongly object to your use of the word "kraut".
Ve haff feelings, too.
