The NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Pittsburgh is fast approaching as is The (2nd Annual!) Breda Fallacy Blogger Reception. Alan Gottlieb must have had a good time at the party in Charlotte because this year, the Second Amendment Foundation was kind enough to co-host, offering both a venue and refreshments. (cash bar, though, so you all can fight over who gets to buy me a drink)
I am really excited about this. So very excited, in fact, that I bought a dress and red lipstick for the event and insisted that Nancy R. absolutely MUST wear her new shoes. I'm told gunnies can clean up real nice so it's bound to be a lovely evening. There's even rumors of an afterparty.
Also, if there's any new bloggers/first-time convention goers who would like a media pass, please send me an email (bredafallacy AT gmail DOT com) and I'll help you out. Since I've been doing exactly this for a couple of months now anyway, I thought I'd put up a post today to spread the not-quite-last-minute word. Bloggers are changing the way the world finds information and the NRA knows it. They do a great job of reaching out to and encouraging new media, and it's honestly wonderful to be a part of the whole endeavor. A media pass not only grants you access to a great number of fun activities, but will hopefully inspire a great number of blog posts as well.
See you soon! (Why, yes, I am stifling a squee.)
