Protest!

We're getting ready to go downtown to fight the power, to stick it to the man - or something. I'm pretty excited, though - exercising my right to free speech and my right to bear arms, all at the same time.

And if you're in the area and have the time, come join us. Look for the smallest person in the crowd (gosh, I hope there's a crowd) wearing an NRA hat. That'll probably be me.

By the way - we double checked to be sure that our signs were spelled correctly. Wouldn't want anyone to mistake us for liberals.

Just heard that a Tea Party is being organized for Kansas City tomorrow, 10AM - Noon at the Fountain in the Plaza.

Wife will be working, but I'll be there.

My first ever post on my own blog was just put up today, and is about Denver's Tea Party. With pics.

Hey Breda - Did you see anyone flaunting their 2nd Amendment rights at the Tea Party?

And don't you wish you had this button? Or maybe you're too young to remember the Trix cereal campaign... "Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids!"

Go forth and do good! Since I'm on SOCAL, all they are doing here is lining up to get their money... sigh...

Well, the KC Tea got snowed out. We got 5" overnight and it's still coming down. There were only a handful that showed up and most lived within walking distance of the Plaza.

I hear there will be a national rally day sometime in March---maybe the 21st.

The wife went with me to the Cow Town tea party. I think 200 + showed up. The site ( Cow Town Bar & Grill ) is in the flight path of Carswell AFB. A flight of 4 came right over the rally. I don't know if the flyby was intentional but it sure was cool. The rally was polite and full of good cheer-amazingly different from protesters on the other side. I will be better prepared for the next one with better signs.
It is really great seeing citizens participating and using our rights. Fred

Yeah, here in NJ everyone's making big plans for their $13. No tea parties.
