He released his statement on a weekend, not on any significant anniversary, in a small regional newspaper, on a day where almost all of the news coverage is focused (like a laser) on the earthquake/tsunami in Japan. I’m sure he could have found a better way to bury his statement. It could have been displayed in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying 'Beware of the Leopard'.
"But one clear and terrible fact remains. A man our Army rejected as unfit for service; a man one of our colleges deemed too unstable for studies; a man apparently bent on violence, was able to walk into a store and buy a gun."
Yeah anyone who gets rejected from the Army or a college is obviously a bad person. Obongo was sposed to be big on opportunities for people down on their luck...taking away their liberties must just be part of looking out for them.
Seriously when this clown got elected I never thought that I or any other right thinking person would just straight up laugh at the thought of Obama talking gun regs. I used to really fret over his bankster connections and obvious communist leanings...but now more than anything I'm just flat out embarassed that we have such a weak little nancyboy as the figurehead of our country.

With everything that's going on in the world now he leaves the golf course to talk about gun control?
Obama talks gun control.... And no one listens or cares. How far Mr. Hope & Change has fallen.
Lord, I do hope he's doomed...One Term pResident, anyone?

I gotta agree with Sean and Sebastian on this one: That was pretty weak tea.
"Uh... we need to enforce existing laws. And better report crazy people."
Well, he does everything else half-assed, so why not this too?

Breda, FTW. Sean gets a close second for the oh-so-appropriate Hitchiker's Guide reference.
Seriously, could he have been any more circumspect while actually saying something publicly?
Has anyone checked the "facts" he quoted on numbers of gub deaths? Seems awful high to me.

OMG AWB2.0 PANIC
He just said "enforce the laws we already have" and "improve NICS." Yawn.

He seems to golf a lot. Anyone want to bet he's a shitty golfer too?
Mike W.,
"Anyone want to bet he's a shitty golfer too?"
No, he's probably thoroughly mediocre.
Tam - That depends on whether or not he can take his teleprompter on the fairways or not.
