Around the time of the Easter upRising, the Crown in the person of the, um, R.U.C., did commandeer one large bulk-liquid transporter lorry from Guinness, emptied it (a man's work, lads), cut firing slits in the steel cylinder and used it as an armored car.
This gave rise to one name for half-and-half, which I shall not print out here, and another common nomenclature: it was the first Tank.
