We just finished watching the first season of Dexter, and we loved it. For a show that's about serial killers, it has a really likable (anti-)hero, a lot of funny moments, and raises a lot of interesting philosophical-ish questions. I'm not going to say much more - I'd hate to spoil it for those of you haven't seen the series.
However, I will say this (and Dexter fans will know what I'm talking about)...
The whole amputee fetish thing seriously creeps me out now, even more than it did before. I'm very tolerant when it comes to other people's sexual proclivities - as long as you're not having sex in public, with animals or children, or with my husband I really don't care what you do - but a fetish that focuses on someone who is missing limbs or is having limbs removed? Ack. Is it the pain of amputation that is titillating, or the perceived helplessness of the amputee or...what? I just do not get it. Obviously, I am looking at this from the opposite side, and that might be the reason why I don't understand, but still. Ack.
I'd also like to point out that everyone who finds my blog by googling "amputee fetish" comes from either the Middle East, Asia, or Europe. Just sayin'.
