Ladies Night!

I've rounded up a bunch of girls (suddenly I have friends! that are girls! whee!) and we're going to the brewery. There's going to be a DJ and, most importantly, 3 free drinks. I doubt I can drink that much and I suspect Ladies Night is supposed to be for unmarried ladies but, hey...free beer.

I'm going to sample the Blue & Black - a milk stout made with dark chocolate and blueberry puree. Positively wholesome, I say. Think of all those antioxidants!

UPDATE: The Blue & Black was not quite as sweet or as fruity as I expected. It was good as stouts go, but it had an odd smokiness that I didn't like.

I'm not really a beer drinker (I'm a bad German, I know), but that truly intrigues me. I do hope you post a review of the mystical chocolate/blueberry beer if you get an opportunity to try it!

mike w - it was a standard beer thickness.

anonymous - having a beer now and again does not make a person an alcoholic. Please do not project your own issues with alcohol onto me.

jtc - nope, no carry in bars in Ohio.

Big News For Breda!

Pistorious is back in!

"Oscar Pistorius, the double-amputee sprinter who was barred from able-bodied competition in January, will be allowed to pursue his dream of qualifying for the Olympic Games after an unexpected decision by the Court of Arbitration for Sport. The Court, an international panel which has final say over legal matters in sport, overturned the International Association of Athletics Federations’ ban, ruling in effect that Pistorius’ carbon fiber prosthetic blades do not give him an unfair advantage."

The stout sounded good. Sorry to hear it wasn't as good as you expected. Sounds llike a good evening though.

Free Beer!

Enjoy Darling!

PS; Like Tam's Bikini pic, I have assiduously hunted down, and destroyed all evidence of my transvestite past.

Though for 3 free glasses of GOOD beer, I might be persuaded to don the sun dress, lipstick, and size 15 flats.
