one bad apple
I'm going to have to turn the word verification back on - I'm starting to get Viagra ads from some guy named John. Thanks a lot, buddy, you ruined it for everyone.

What a limp-dick. Apparently, it's literal.
You're worth a couple of extra keystrokes. I can't imagine you'll lose anyone worthwhile by turning the verification back on.
Now if only my typing were better...

I had the same thing happen to me overnight.
He needs the Richard Cooey treatment.
He hit Roberta as well. I have the moderation thing going. Perhaps just a few less people may comment because the word verification can be a pain, but it does keep out the spammers.
I got one from him myself. I think they concentrate more on sites with a lot of hits. I don't get many since I don't get that many visitors.
Take it as a compliment. If you weren't popular you wouldn't get spam.
