what he said

Robb pretty much sums up my post-election feelings.

Ok, say Barry, Nancy, and Harry go whole hog on their agenda. The nation will go south or it won't. How could it not go south? How can voter forget that this used to be a better country to live in? US citezens don't handle the malaise that European civilians accept readily. The only way it could be Hollywood's 'option 3' is if the good guys can't field an alternative.

That's a possibility. We need a Palin of Jindal times 2. We didn't know that Reagan was as good a possiblilty in 1973. We did in 1976. We saw the potential even then. I don't know which mystery candidate can step in and be like Reagan-1980 for 2012. I'd rather not wait til 2016. If we do have to wait til 2016 and the pattern is the same, the mystery candidate will start to emerge in he next couple of years.

But because I can't see this person now doesn't mean they aren't already out there, primed for landlside 2012. It could actually BE Palin or Jindal or even Thompson. We also need a new and better Newt for 2010 to look like 1994. Not sure who the new Newt would be, either.

It's starting to feel like I fell asleep watching "The Twilight Zone", and now I can't wake up out of it.
Yes, perhaps a trip to the range will help.

Can I steal your "Browncoat" graphic?

It sums up my feelings nicely.

So, are you going to be buying an EBR between now and Jan 20th?

Thank you good Madam Breda.
I went to an Appleseed shoot and was humbled by the experience. A lot of fine Americans were there shooting, about half a dozen of them adolescent and adult females. I love it when women can shoot. The woman shooting next to me scored a 208 on the first day. She didn't get her badge but another shoot is coming up. I scored under 100, my son scored 154, both of us were shooting with stock Ruger 10/22 sights. I now have a bull barrel and a scope on my rifle to help these 53 year old eyes.

you have inspired me to be a better American.

$1,400 is a lot of money, but an M1A would be comforting in the closet. 2 mortgage payments or a new rifle? perhaps we start with a CMP M1 - under $600 and a necessary part of being a good American.
