My dear friend Shrugged of Bear on a Bicycle made me an amazing pendant with a piece of snowflake obsidian and spent brass. I requested .380 because a Bersa Thunder in that caliber is my choice for daily carry.
The pendant arrived on its own and I wore it for a while on a simple silver chain but was never quite satisfied with how it looked. I wanted something a bit more interesting so I got a thin cord of soft black deerskin, a few beads and made myself a lariat style choker.
And just in time for Valentine's Day, you can find more beautiful stonework and wearable art on Shrugged's new site From the Earth.
* I tried to do a little homage to the loveliness of Brigid, the original shell casings model, but I think I might need better lighting or um...something. Like trick photography.

stunning.
Very nice, neck and the pendant.
It looks sharp, and you look just fine wearing it.

Never underestimate the power of a piece of leather around a pretty neck.
:)
Lovely pendant and clavicles, but doesn't that put you at a disadvantage in a self-defense situation?
Hello Breda - I read your blog daily. My observation is it looks really great. Also, Shrugged has to feel like the Luckiest Stone Artist in the world to have two such very lovely models for his work ! The picture is wonderful and I would like to see more.
Yes, a lovely pendant and neck.....I also carry the Bersa Thunder 380, which is probably a bad idea since I live in Chicago. Oops!

Awesome! Ohh...isn't it sooooo loverly...
wv: "drones" oboy...
It's beautiful. I saw it when it was being done. . but it looks so much lovelier on you. You have the exquisite beauty to truly showcase that piece.

absolutely lovely ...
You make me *lol*!
And you look beautiful, with or without the truly stunning pendant!
While it's true that Brigid has an excellent ability to show off her jewelry, yours was attractively presented. All kinds of jewelry. All kinds of backdrops.
Also, you're tiny. I thought, when first I saw your pendant, that it was a .45 acp casing.
Well, I was hoping to be original but it looks like I'm way too late.
Slinky black dress, interesting necklace and slender neck...add candles, bottle of wine...you betcha!
Mike
I think that in the interest of fair comparison, that you and Brigid should re shoot those pics...at the same time, you know, side by side kind of..
I think I may be able to handle that much beauty in one photo. I'm not sure, but I'll face the danger.
