Gun Nuts Radio

Tuesdays at 9PM EST
Last night's Caleb-free hour of Gun Nuts went pretty well, if I do say so myself. The topic allowed for a lot of great calls - we talked about what makes gunfolk such good, interesting, diverse people and the things that we are passionate about besides the Second Amendment and firearms.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to listen and especially those who called in to chat with me - blog friends like JayG*, Kaveman, TBolt, Phlegmfatale, Blackfork and RobertaX, IRC** friends like Alan from Snarkybytes, and all the blog readers and commenters. We even had our very first international call (from the UK), so an extra thank you to Phil who stayed up late to participate in the show.
You were all my very special guests. I love hearing people's stories and during the entire hour I felt as if I were just hanging out with friends...& hey, come to think of it, that's exactly what it was. We were all exchanging thoughts, having a laugh and enjoying each other's company. I feel very lucky to be part of such a great group.
If you missed this show, visit Caleb's blog to find all the download information. (I have no idea why he is continuing to blog while on vacation but that's dedication for you.)
Join us again next week for Caleb's triumphant return and an awesome show on self-defense techniques!
* geeky tip for those of you, like JayG, who haven't seen the brilliant (witty space cowboys with guns and girls that kick ass) TV series Firefly yet. All the episodes are available for free on Hulu. Go watch.

Fun show. Be glad to have Caleb back but either of you can handle it solo just fine.
I tuned in last night and enjoyed the show.
Thought about calling but there didn't seem to be a shortage of gunnies willing to dial.
I credit watching TV Westerns with my grandad for making me a shooter. He loved them and I liked sitting next to him on the couch watching Roy Rodgers and other TV cowboys.
I bet a lot of shooters with some gray in their beards would have similar stories.
Okay, okay, I get the point. I'll check it out TONIGHT, I promise...
:)
(And it *was* a group of friends sitting around shootin' the shit... The IRC afterparty was like a giant kegger, with dozens of people all yakking away at once...) :)
And then buy the series, because it is definitely worth it on a bigger screen and better sound system.
And because it is worth it :).
Anyone know what happened to LD? He wasn't there last night, and today his blog is empty.
Just saw Serenity, AGAIN, with someone that hadn't seen it yet. (Saucy Trollop)
GET it, Jay. The series and the movie. If Jayne Cobb shaved his head.... Let's just say That I think your ID is really J_C, instead of JayG. J_C for Jayne Cobb. Maybe it's Jayne Gobb...
I watched it all on Hulu after seeing it talked about here and on Brigid's page so much.
Damn that was good.
Tuesday is my gaming night. I'll participate if the regular meet is skipped for some reason. Until then, I've a previous engagement.
James
Just finished listening to the down load, Good show, sorry I missed it... dammit...
Aww, shucks, ma'am: 'tweren't nuthin'!
(Oh, and for the record, I think you did very well helming the show, wrangling callers and other mixed metaphors solo. Picking the right questions to ask to draw folk out is an art, but you made it look easy. Kudos!)
