Librarians hoard the wisdom of humanity. They are the keepers of all knowledge, the guardians at the temples of understanding, and devoted protectors of the sanctuary in the midst of uneducated anarchy. Plus, they are often aware of very cheap places to dine alone with books. Let us not mince words: librarians are hiding something. A group of Librarians is also known as a shoosh. Finally! Librarians, defined.

"A group of Librarians is also known as a shoosh."
Hence, their favorite reprimand to noisy patrons: Shush!
Too funny! A Librarian with WAY too much time on their hands...
Wasn't me with time on my hands, but I do think that Trusty Triumph can do a "Swoosh!" on the best of the twisty turns. Come to think of my solo "Library Keeper" I am not sure where the GROUP of Librarians are - except in Tumwater at the State Library, a shoosh. Ha, ha, ha, I am flying solo and not a real librarian.
enessers wv that calls something to mind...
For more such groupings as a Shoosh of Librarians, see this wonderful book:

An Exaltation of Larks
When I was stationed in Hawaii, I learned that when the first Philippinos came to the islands, the natives started calling them "buk-buk", because they didn't understand their language, and what they heard sounded like "buk-buk". Then, I also learned that a family of "buk-buks" is a library. Now, can you beat that?
