A woman came to the reference desk this afternoon and complained, "Excuse me, the computer is telling me to log into Windows. I don't want Windows. Can't I just get to the internet?"
(& yeah, we're still on IE6 - not like she'll be able to do anything anyway.)

For the love of all that's good and holy, I certainly hope so.
Sorry to hear your day sucked. If there's any consolation, it appears to be going around...
At least your day is presumably over, by now. In Alaska time, it's only 1pm, and teh suck goes on...
Now,now, it ain't her fault. She just wanted to listen to some Paul McCartney, that's all.
IE6? Wow!!
Awwww, she must be a cousin to PEBKAC* girl on my team. Who, despite multiple demonstrations, can't remember to use the Snapshot tool on Adobe.
*PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair
She must be a Mac user...
I hear exactly the same thing from my father almost every single day. I finally just stopped explaining it to him.
User keeps getting an ID10T error.
Well at least stupid people keep your day entertaining....
