versus

I called Mike at work this morning, after I had gotten my usual news fix.

Me: "Um...did you happen to look at Drudge this morning?"

Mike: "No, why?"

Me, sighing : "Just look."

I heard a bit of clicking as he found the page, and then...

..."Oh, great. The bad guys have Dr. Evil and all we have to save us is Pee Wee Herman."

You should misplace your leg more often, Breda. That is weapons-grade snark, there.

Great! I suspect Obama will be caught with his pants down, just like Pee Wee.

you would think the president's advisers would have at least gotten him a boy's bike.

They have the Putinator, the ex-KGB spook who is so tough even his shit has muscles.

We have...Steve Urkel.

s'True, but I'm really not sure that having Tzar Putin running the U.S. would be a good thing. What's sad is that if you asked Barry and Sarah what the 4 Rules are, Sarah would say them so fast the MSM's would have to play their Digital Recorders back at slow speed three times to decipher it, while Barry would have to have his speech writers dig out them out and program the Teleprompter so he could give a response.

Firstly, the Russians haven't been the bad guys for over 20 years.
Secondly: if a communist company needed a bailout, Putin could spar some MMA champion for 1 million donated per round and come out ahead.

... seriously, I'd pay good money for that!

Who the heck allows these pictures of Obama to be released? Are they deliberatly trying to make him look ridiculous?

BTW - I'm so happy to find another librarian who is not a lefty.

I don't know if this is worse than Mikey Dukakis riding around an M1, but Barry O sure looks ridiculous.

Mr. Hawkins, the Russians are STILL the bad guys. Their recent activities in Iran prove that, or should to anyone with more than a handful of functioning synapses. And now we have bad guys with something the Sovs never really had: Competent leadership.

As Jeremy Clarkson of "Top Gear" would say, "Russia under Putin? Let's Find Out!"

Invade and destroy Georgia? Check.

Sell a Billion Dollars worth of weapons to Hugo Chavez? Check.

Oppose the Missile Defense Shield against the Iranians? Check.

Arrest and jail the owner of the biggest private oil company in Russia so he could gain control? Check

Cause the deaths of nearly 30,000 people during one of the coldest winters in European history because he wasn't getting enough money for his natural gas, so he shut off the supplies? Check.

Double the cost of sending ships to the International Space Station since Barry closed down NASA? Check.

Got a new law passed through the Duma that allows the successor to the KGB (the FSA) the power to arrest and hold indefinitely any who MIGHT commit a crime, which the FSA defines? Check.

Murders journalists who dare to tell the truth? Check.

Jails political opponents who seek fair and honest elections? Check.

Russian People the enemy? No. Putin? CHECK!

We're constantly told by the leftie wet-pantie Obamasm crowd that Obama is sooo cool.

Makes one wonder just how dorkey they are that Obama represents cool.

If it were only as bad as this makes it look. And why would we dis peewee to that extent, at least when his faults played out, we got "I meant to do that". This guy..."Bush did it".

I used to work in a bike shop, so I'm getting a kick out of a lot of these responses.

It's not a women's frame. It's a unisex "comfort" bike. The sloped top tube makes it easier for everyone to hop aboard and pedal down to the rainbow factory.

Vladimir Putin is a friend, not a foe, and he certainly isn't evil!

Besides, Obama is cool - what a man of principle! Does what he believes regardless of the opinion polls, just like President Bush - a worthy president. :-)

TOTWTYTR said...

Just because Russia is no longer Communist, doesn't mean that they are our friends. They have been working counter to our interests almost since the fall of Communism there.

Putin is not our friend, he's his friend.

Dude seriously? This really cant be a basis for policy preference. B/c he looks like a dork or a father screwing around on his kids bike really cant be a substantive basis to favor or not favor a president. Carter was a dork but people now seem him as an effective president.

Should we have presidential beauty pageants? Maybe for the guys a boxer briefs competition and for the lady contestants bikini competition? Yea Sara might win.

Then just to make it look legit well ask em a tough question in the end.

People see Carter as an effective President !!??!!
I just spit coffee all over my keyboard.

Weirddave said...

@Jon. It's the new spin. As it becomes more and more obvious that Obama is Carter Part Deux, there is an effort afoot amongst libs to rewrite history, casting Carter as an "effective" president. Frankly I suspect it would be easier to get minister Farrakhan the B'nai B'rith man of the year award, but when what you have in the present is so bad, why not attempt to change the past?

Thanks Android! I needed a good laugh today.

Carter an effective President!....

Carter effective?

In what universe?

MaddMedic said...

I deleted my comment about Carter.

I was to stunned and my bacon and tomato samich was stuck to my screen..

Note he said "see(m)".

Maybe he (Android and his Carter!)are in a different universe....parallel or some such thing.

Carter in my Universe was worthless and his pantywaist inaction did us a helluvalot of good. Much like the current pantywaist in office.

On another note my verification is "Obent"....eh...fitting..

Jay G said...

Hey now. Carter was very effective.

Unfortunately, he was effective at running the US straight into the ground at Mach 4...

Mike W. said...

I wasn't alive to know what Carter was like, but I've heard stories and I know my history. None of it was good.

Maybe what he meant was "As compared to Obama, many now see Carter as an effective President".

That might be accurate.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Now I remember. The 70's! LOL!

Uni-sex is what what we called it before "Metrosexual" came into use.

...and yes I WAS there for the 70's even if I do remember parts of it. /heh

All joking aside, he's our head of state and commander in chief. Appearances matter on the international stage.

Perception creates reality.

We should all show our appreciation that the left occasionally elects a Carter or an Obama who is so damaging to the Republic that the people finally awake to realize they're in the proverbial socialist incrementalist lobster cooker. Hopefully this time we will elect someone to replace Obama who walks the walk and doesn't just talk the talk (Reagan, as great as he was, presided over the largest tax increases and expansions of federal government since the New Deal).

Anyone who thinks that Carter was even an "ok" president didn't live through those years. If a Reagan can follow a Carter, I can't wait to see what follows BHO...
