You might not be aware of this but the Saturday before Labor Day is perhaps the most underappreciated holiday of the entire year...International Bacon Day!
So in honor of this very special day (and of all the delicious hogs who die to give us this very special meat) I've decided to have bacon with every meal, maybe even dessert.
For breakfast, I'm having a large coffee and a bacon cheese wrap from Dunkin'. I'll keep you updated.
What bacony delights do you have planned for your day?
And as requested, here's the link to my famous pig candy post. I might use it as a topping for vanilla bean ice cream today.

OK, that does it. I'm making bacontots.
Just a suggestion: for those of your readers who have never tried your pig candy recipe, how about re-publishing it in honor of the occasion?
Off the the Great Geauga county fair. I hope that they have fried bacon on a stick, I hope I hope!
Bacon, egg, and cheese tacos have already been consumed this morning. I may just have to find something to do with the remaining eight slices. Hmmm... Recipes...
Don't try and pass any pork pass this girl. Geez, we could use you in Congress.
Bacon-wrapped meatballs, perhaps I'll make some for supper. In the meantime, I have bacon and bagels. Now all I need is some cream cheese and I'm set.

Bacon FAIL here at the beach. I'm having burgers in a few minutes, but it's a bit of a trek to the nearest store just for bacon.
I ate bacon without even knowing it was an august occasion.
Considering that we have a Muslim in the White House, I regard bacon as a wonderful antidote for much that ails us.
Your pig candy recipe has been a huge hit at every potluck my family has attended. Pig candy rules in Virginia.
In about 30 min, I'll be toting 2 bacon wrapped sirloins to the grill, and garnishing them with bleu cheese.
