Special feature

I was being stalked as I wandered through the school. The building was all metal, glass and concrete. It smelled of science experiments gone wrong and as usual, I was looking for something. The classrooms were dark, the students were far younger than me - I was clearly not where I was supposed to be - and that man kept getting closer, more threatening. Mike had been with me but had disappeared. I called out for him. No response. I knew somehow that the threatening man had separated us and that Mike was dead. I was very much alone.

I turned just as the man got close, he was talking to me, mocking me. He grabbed me and I drew my gun and pulled the trigger three times. I had hit him center mass, not a tight group, but I had got him.

Yet he kept coming. He had his hands on me again and I was terrified, thinking, "but I shot him! Why won't he stop?" His hands were now around my throat and I could feel his breath in my face. I looked up at him and knew what I had to do.

I drew the Bersa up and shot him in the eyeball, and he staggered as the bullet reached his brain. His hands fell from me, and I scrambled away as he slumped to the floor, dead.

Then he transformed into a newt.

I put the small body in a jar and made my way to the principal's office. I set the jar on his desk and waited for the police to arrive.

Dreams are weird.

(I just woke up, too, so forgive me if this is a little disjointed. Or misspelled.)

Zombie dreams are so cool. Usually in mine the ammo either doesn't fit the weapon. or I can't get the thing to fire.

Yep the indestructible badguy. Of course I'm such a cynic that if putting a few chunks of dream lead into somebody's lungs isn't going to dissuade them from playing with me, when I line up that headshot (Like you its ALWAYS at contact distance) SOMETHING bad is going to happen, like a bad primer, or a feed-jam, or the gun is going to fall apart in my hand.

The bad guy has never turned into a newt on me. Tho I did get a couple of them a few times, but when I get them I don't wake up wide-eyed.

My inner geek wants to know how you typed that story on an iPhone after having just woke up.

I never remember my dreams coherently enough to write a post.

This dream tells us something and begs a question.

One, bring a bigger gun
Two, What caliber for newt?

Newts are like that. That's why Harry Potter carries his wand concealed.

My ex brother-in-law, then a Deputy, had nightmares of drawing his pistol and not being able to pull the trigger.
This was partly because some idjit in the city police force had an AD with a Glock from him constantly sticking his finger into the guard even when drawing, and blaming the poor trigger discipline on the Glock. The City and County (Memphis/Shelby)agreed with him, and went with DAO with a 13 pound pull.
Having been trained as a SP for the Navy on a 1911, Bro-in-law really hated the Barretta he was issued. At least it was a .40 S&W.

.45 works nicely on newts. Shoot a newt with a .45 and you have no more newt issues.

"She change me into a Newt!............. I got better. . "

Been thinking about 1911's again?

I was wrong, I don't have the very worst dreams.... just don't watch enough Zombie movies and horror films. Go with the 1911.

"Then he transformed into a newt."

My thoughts were exactly the same as JP...

I think we need a Dream Meme with gun content.

I have one! I will post it. Gotta write it down first!

"She turned me into a Newt!!!"

"......"

"I got better!"

Yes, Heath, but the only way to be sure is to find out if Breda is lighter than a duck.

This makes me feel so, much better about my dreams.

I was going to ask if he got better, but I see I have been beaten to it.

Funny... my firearm nightmares usually involve having the bullets coming out of the gun slower than the average junior high schooler throws a baseball and simply having no effect on the goblin I'm trying to shoot.

Might be why I started carrying the .357...

I had a dream about YOU recently. The world was under attack by monsters. They were all shapes and sizes, but they couldn't abide light, so they were always lurking in basements, etc. Some of the bigger ones could talk and would taunt us from the shadows. YOU were the leader of the human defense forces, and you kicked ass. Then you would put on an apron and prepare gourmet meals for everyone (except the monsters). I vividly remember the barbecue chicken you made. It was a good dream. :)

I posted it.
